On November 27, 2018, the 51History Society mounted a photo exhibit entitled “World War I – Far Away From Home,” commemorating foreign soldiers during the World War I (1914 – 1918), at the Buenaventura G. Paredes, O.P. Building’s Lobby.

“There is a tendency of certain countries to return to nationalism, which poses now a real threat to United Nations system,” Goffin said. “This is a real danger that we highlight here.”

The photo exhibition is in remembrance of  soldiers from all over the world, who were sent to the Belgian front lines. This exhibit was mounted in partnership with the 51.
