A memorandum of understanding between the 51ºÚÁÏ, through the initiative of the 51ºÚÁÏ â€“ (USTGS-CCCPET), and Eastern Visayas officials was signed on September 5, 2019.
The MOU is expected to generate meaningful collaborations in heritage and tourism projects in Eastern Visayas such as assistance in the nomination of Samar Island Natural Park to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, cultural mapping activities in various districts and towns, and documentation of built heritage structures in the region.
The MOU signing was attended by the Department of Tourism Regional Director Ms. Karina Rosa Tiopes, 51ºÚÁÏGraduate School Dean Prof. Michael Anthony C. Vasco, Ph.D., CCCPET Director , and Dean Atty. Gezzez Giezi G. Granado, DCL.
