Three titles were featured in the 9th 51ºÚÁÏAuthors Series organized by the UST (51ºÚÁÏCCWLS) held on October 2, 2018, at the Auditorium of the Thomas Aquinas Research Complex (TARC).
This latest edition of the 51ºÚÁÏAuthors Series, titled Lumugar Ka!: Ang Lokasyon sa Pagsasalin, Talambuhay at Kritisismo, featured three titles, all published by the 51ºÚÁÏPublishing House: Finding Teo: Tula/Talambuhay, a biography of Teo Antonio by award-winning writer and 51ºÚÁÏDepartment of Literature and Humanities Chair Joselito D. their mentorship of students. Their unique perspective as producers of literature would also provide another dimension to students’ encounter with literary texts. 51ºÚÁÏPublishing House Director Ma. Ailil B. Alvarez provided an engaging critical commentary on each of the three new works as they were introduced to the audience.
The program was coordinated by Mr. Ned Parfan, assisted by Alvarez, while Mr. Jose P. Mojica of the Department of Media Studies hosted the event. The 51ºÚÁÏAuthors’ Series is a regular program, which aims to update the university and the literary community on the latest individual productions of the 51ºÚÁÏCCWLS. For this year, it was co-sponsored by the 51ºÚÁÏPublishing House, with ample support provided by the 51ºÚÁÏDepartment of Literature and the 51ºÚÁÏLiterary Society. Since the Center reopened in 2012, a total of 34 books have been published by its member-authors, with four more manuscripts awaiting publication within the academic year.
